If I could ask you to do one thing – it would be to read that. I hope you see it for yourself. I want you to see what they did. These documents were discovered serendipitously by my pro bono investigator. All of the articles written on my case are here. To be honest, I had no clue the degree of corruption that played a major role in my wrongful conviction until these things were discovered.
One could easily conclude I will be released or offered a new trial after learning about my case. It’s not that simple. The American judicial laws prevent immediate release or any acknowledgement of wrong doing by the prosecution. I have no more appeals, which makes it more difficult to raise my claims in front of a fair judge. My only chance of judicial salvation rests on the mercy of Harris County’s current District Attorney who has often said during her weekly press conferences that she is focused on doing the right thing when wrongful convictions are brought to her attention. We have contacted her, and have heard nothing from her office.
The reality is, funds are needed to hire the necessary legal help I will need before my time runs out. Thank you for allowing your individual humanity to aid the incarcerated innocent men and women. Thank you for caring. I’m writing you from a Texas Death Row cell because those who prosecuted me in a Harris County courtroom back in 1999 didn’t care, not about me, my innocence or the facts.
Please share my story. Join me in my fight for the justice that will set me free. There is a facebook page that has been set up to share my story. Charles Mamou – How Wrongful Convictions Are Made. I can’t do this by myself. You can send me messages there and they will be forwarded to me.
Thank you for your time. LOVE ALWAYS CHUCKY FOREVER.
