FOCUS OF THE WEEK: GREAT CBS PROGRAM

12/4/2013

Comments

Lesley Stahl reports on flaws in eyewitness testimony that are at the heart of the DNA exonerations of falsely convicted people like Ronald Cotton, who has now forgiven his accuser, Jennifer Thompson. Jennifer was convinced that Ronald was her attacker, when it was not the case.

Eye witness misidentification is responsible in 45% of wronfgul convictions.

This video is interesting and inspiring because it shows the two sides of the story: The wrongfully convicted, and the person who accused him wrongly.
